The latest round of election matchups in Minnesota among the leading presidential candidates finds Democrats leading in each scenario.

Like most other states polled by SurveyUSA in mid-September, John Edwards outperforms Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in matchups versus Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, and Mitt Romney.

Edwards (+51 net advantage) leads Giuliani by 8 points and has very large leads over Thompson (+16) and Romney (+27).

Clinton (+47 net) has a slightly larger lead over Giuliani (+11), but less of an advantage over Thompson (+13) and Romney (+23). When polled by SurveyUSA in August 2007, Clinton only had a 3-point lead over Giuliani, a 9-point lead over Thompson, and a 16-point lead over Romney,

Obama’s (+32 net) lead over Giuliani was within the margin of error (+4) with larger leads over Thompson (+8) and Romney (+20).
