Just a short post today; I’m in New York City today and tomorrow for a meeting with IT professionals who work in state and local election offices. I always enjoy these sessions – both because I learn a lot and because it’s so amazing to watch these folks help one another think through the next big thing(s) in elections.

Moreover, the skills and experiences these individuals possess make them key building blocks in the effort to establish a more formal professional of election administration. As technology becomes more and more prevalent in the election process – as evidenced by an excellent story by Politico’s Mackenzie Weinger – these folks will be helping to lead the way.

Expect to hear more about the meeting in future posts – see you back here tomorrow!
