Every blog has to start somewhere … this is the first of what I hope will be many, many posts here at Humphrey’s election site. The goal is to have this blog serve as a place for anyone in the elections community to go to for news, ideas and discussion about the future of election administration.

I hope you’ll visit often – not just for the blog, but also for the many programs and projects we’ll be hosting here about the law, procedures and especially the people in the field of elections.

Finally, I encourage all of you to use this site as a forum to share your own ideas about the nation’s election system. One of our major goals going forward is to establish programs that deliver the kinds of research and training that the community needs – and we won’t know what you need unless you share it here. We want to be one of your favorite sites over time – and you can help by bookmarking us as a favorite now, subscribing to our RSS feed, following us on Twitter, or just adding us to your morning blog roll.

We hope to see you again soon!
