Sua Sponte is the online companion publication to Law & Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice. Like Law & Inequality, Sua Sponte publishes articles by lawyers, law students and nonlawyers that explore how the law perpetuates systemic oppression, exploitation, and discrimination. Articles focus on race, poverty, sexual orientation, gender, age, disability, and other modern inequality issues. Articles can be social, empirical, doctrinal, experiential, literary, or community-based.
Sua Sponte is compiled and edited by the same editorial board as Law & Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice, on a rolling basis to disseminate information in a timely manner. It is published by the University of Minnesota Libraries University Publishing. For more information about the requirements and process for submission to Sua Sponte, please see the submissions page.
